When it comes to a holiday destination in Australia, Brisbane is one of the best places to start. Here are some of our favourite things that you can do while here! Brisbane, the capital and most populous city in Queensland, is the third-largest city in Australia. It’s a coastal paradise with plenty of fun activities to do after work or on the weekends.

When you visit Brisbane, make sure to stop by Customs House.

It’s a gorgeous site and it will give you a feel of the old times in Queensland.

It was built in 1845 and has had many different uses throughout history but is now a beautiful place where you can learn about the city’s rich past.

If you’re looking for a great place to eat in Brisbane, I recommend Shingle Inn.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing! There’s also live music every night.

Laneway Bar

Not only is Laneway Bar one of the most popular bars in Brisbane, but it’s also a great place to catch live music! Some of the best musicians go there.

There are many reasons why you should come to The Euro.

For one, it’s the best bar in Brisbane.

You’ll be able to enjoy a drink and listen to live music performances that will keep your toes tapping all night long!

There are so many reasons why you should visit Urbane when visiting Brisbane.

It’s my favorite coffee shop because of the friendly service and delicious food. Once you try it, I know that you’ll love it too!

The Howard Smith Wharves are one of the best historical sites in Brisbane.

They’re also home to many beautiful restaurants, cafes, and bars.

Howard Smith Wharves is an attraction in Brisbane you don’t want to miss out on!

Located along the river, it’s a great place to watch all of the water taxis coming and going.

Parliament House

You can expect the most delectable cuisine, impressive service and spectacular views when you visit Parliament House.

Parliament House is a beautiful, historical building that has received numerous awards for its architecture. It also offers a great view of the city.

Gresham Lane is a great place to start your trip if you’re looking for good food and a casual atmosphere.

It’s located in the center of Brisbane, so it’s easy to get to from the airport.

If you’re visiting Brisbane, check out South Bank.

Story Bridge

Make sure you go admire the view from the top of Story Bridge. The view along the Brisbane River is incredible.

It’s a beautiful place to take photos with the city of Brisbane in the background and you can even see as far as Mount Coot-tha on a clear day!

Check out Roma Street Parkland

This large park located in Brisbane has many features that make it a great place for anyone to visit.

One of the most prominent attractions is Walter Taylor Bridge which stretches across the park and provides visitors with fantastic views

Brisbane City Botanic Gardens

The Brisbane City Botanic Garden is a great place to see Australian wildlife and plant life. In addition, there are many statues of famous people from around the world including Mother Teresa, Gandhi, and Confucius to name just a few.

Hike Mount Coot-tha

One of the best day trip adventures is hiking Mount Coot-tha.

Besides being a great workout, it’s also rewarding because you get to see some amazing views!

The mountain is 1210 meters above sea level, and offers a 360-degree view of Brisbane.

You can even see the Gold Coast on clear days!

Stargazing at Brisbane Planetarium is a great way to enjoy the night sky.

It’s free and you can see some of the most amazing stars in the southern hemisphere.

It’s also an educational experience, so bring along your kids!

Rock Climbing at Kangaroo Point Cliffs

This is a great place to go rock climbing because it has some of the best views in Brisbane and you’ll get an amazing workout!

Go on a River Dinner Cruise

Check out Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Did you know that the Koala Sanctuary is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia? That’s because koalas are adorable, and fun to watch as they eat leaves all day.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is the closest thing to a real life teddy bear. You’ll fall in love with their adorable faces and fluffy fur!

St Stephens Cathedral

St Stephens Cathedral is the oldest building in Brisbane. It’s a great place to visit for anyone interested in art and architecture. The cathedral has been refurbished to serve as a museum that showcases historical artifacts, such as stained glass windows from different memorials.

Albert Street Uniting Church

Albert Street Uniting Church is a beautiful church. The architecture of the building is stunning with its stained glass windows and high ceilings. It’s also conveniently close to Queen Street Mall, so you can shop after your church visit!

QUT Art Museum is a great place to visit if you are interested in contemporary art. It has many exhibitions, which change periodically. Some things on display include sculptures made from natural materials, paintings that reflect historical and political themes of the time.

One of the best shopping experiences in Brisbane is shopping at Brisstyle Twilight Market. There are numerous stalls selling quirky, fun clothing and accessories from all over the world.
